Sonja Marquis

Bio
Sonja Marquis is an actor, director, and designer based in Brighton, Michigan contracted by numerous theaters throughout southeastern Michigan. Sonja is also a proponent of youth theatre who has worked with young artists in many capacities. She is part of Brighton High School’s Musical Theatre and Dramatic Arts creative teams, directing productions and mentoring sound design and stage management crews. For seven years, she was the director of the Plymouth Uptown Players, a youth theatre program based at Plymouth Community Arts Council in partnership with Tipping Point Theatre. She was also a mentor for Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, who also contracted her to teach Sound Design Workshops through as part of their outreach efforts. Sound design credits include: Williamston Theatre, Tipping Point Theatre, Flint Rep, Matrix Theatre, and Detroit Public Theatre.
